With apologies to all my Wiccan friends

And to all my, um, bat friends too. Are they adorable or what?

Good news! A new kit is on the way. Eight of the ten papers are complete, and I have a few ideas for the elements thanks to my FCT. It's going to be a warm and cozy one, so get ready to take some fireside photos, or hot chocolate or something. :)

I'm very excited for my favorite holiday tomorrow, so I better get some sleep if I can. See you all soon!

Nothing much going on here

Today all soccer games were cancelled because of the rain and wind. It was so bad that when Dan came in from getting the paper this morning I asked him if he saw a little girl with a dog being chased by a green lady on a bicycle, lol.

Speaking of witches, Rebecca's witch costume for this Halloween looks an awful lot like the one that the Wicked Witch wore in the Wizard of Oz. She doesn't want a green face, though. We did a test run with the makeup this morning and she looks a little goth actually. We're going to the Halloween festival at the high school this afternoon so we'll get to see it all put together before the Big Day.

She said the funniest thing to us last night. You have to know first that she is a VORACIOUS reader. She got two chapter books at the library yesterday and had them both read before dinner time. So in the car coming home from dinner Dan teasingly told her that we were going to have to untrain her from reading, like Henry untrained Ribsy. And without a pause she said, "You mean every time I read a book, you'll hit me with it?" For some reason that struck both of us as so funny, the inside of the car exploded with laughter. She just comes out with this stuff sometimes, I don't know what to do but laugh.

Ben's latest cute saying was when he laid his head against my arm and sighed, "I've got love faces all over you, Mommy." Now would that get you a pony or what? Cute boy.

Well, like I said I usually have a nice long dry spell after finishing a kit and this week all I did was scrap my own photos and do housework. But my FCT (Fantabulous Creative Team) has given me some great ideas for new products, so I may have something new to show you soon. I hope so!

Have a wonderful weekend and I hope everyone has good weather Tuesday if you're taking little ones out spooking!

If you bought a fundraising kit for Keely Simpson

Please check out this thread at NDISB:

INFORMATION

There will also be a thread for you to use to air your feelings about the situation at DST. Yes, it's vague. But it has to be that way to protect everyone involved (includng those who may be guilty of wrongdoing). But as you can imagine I'm more interested in protecting Theresa, Anita, and my beloved NDISB. Please don't get upset if you have a question that cannot be answered at this time.

MIA for a few days

I get kinda burned out after creating a kit, packaging it, and marketing it. It's a pretty time-consuming process. So I enjoyed taking my daughter out to AC Moore this weekend and purchasing a small starter cross stitching kit for her. She completed it in an afternoon! Well, I did the backstitching for her but she did all the x's. Pretty good for a 7 year old! And of course, seeing all the stitching stuff got me thinking about how deeply involved I was in that hobby for so long--since I wasn't much older than Rebecca is now, I guess. I'm contemplating the idea that maybe I'll get back into stitching in the evenings, now that I have more time in the day to do scrapbooking with the kids in school. I'm doing pretty well keeping up with the house lately too, so that's good to have less housewife guilt. I do miss cross stitching, and I was even getting into a technique called hardanger right there before Rebecca was born and I pretty much quit stitching. I remember I bought this kit that you received in the mail in sections, one section a month for about 6 months and it turned into this huge elaborate sampler. It's still not finished, so do I go back to my UFO (unfinished object) or maybe refresh my enthusiasm by starting out with something brand new? Decisions, decisions.

I did a cute 2 pager today for the Jens: I used Jennifer Layden's kit and Jen Caputo's template. Check it out:

It's no secret: I'm a dork

I dreamed last night that a bunch of Hanukkah kits showed up on the market before I had a chance to get mine into the store. What IS a little secret is that I went ahead and put mine up today as a result, lol! So if you're anxious you can run pick it up now. I put the combo kit up, but then I also split it out into separate scrapbooking and cardmaking packs, in case someone wants one but not the other. HOWEVER! Buying the combo pack gives you an almost 20% savings over buying them separately AND I'm putting the combo pack on sale through Sunday for even bigger savings! Here it is right HERE!!

Please feel free to spread the word about my little secret! :)

Hanukkah kit debuts Thursday!

Well I'm not planning to retire on the money I make from this kit; I know it has a rather limited market in the scrapbooking world, lol! But I think I've created the trendiest, hottest, most versatile Hanukkah kit ever seen (if I do say so myself). No one except my creative team has had a chance to look at it yet, so I'm debuting it ahead of time here for my precious blog readers. What makes this kit unique is that I've made it COMPLETE for both scrapbooking and cardmaking. You'll receive all the papers and elements that you expect in a big juicy kit, along with four 4x6 card templates and all the greetings and sentiments you need to personalize both the outside AND the inside of the card! Cool, eh? So if you know of any scrappers who celebrate Hanukkah and have been looking for a non-cutesy, extra cool kit for those photos, please direct them to my blog so they can see this one. It will be arriving in the NDISB store on Thursday. Thanks!! :)

Hey ladies, I'm back!

I had a lovely visit with my mom and dad last week. I was really sad to see them go! I think they enjoyed themselves too. It was good that they had a break from the kids during the day, so they appreciated seeing them in the evenings after school more. They just can't handle my energetic youngsters I'm afraid, lol.

I feel like I've been away from digi scrapping for eons! I did manage to do my Digi Dare layout for the week, but that was about it. I really need to get busy on some more digital kits and such. I have a good idea for one, plus a few color schemes that will work, but it's a matter of just doing it. I also need to make a few layouts for Jen and Jennifer since I feel like I haven't been a very good CT member for either of them lately. Sorry girls! :( Starting tomorrow the kids will be back in school and I'll probably plant my tuchus right here in front of the computer for the majority of the day. Why clean when my parents are gone for another year? LOL!!! (Actually I do need to do laundry since Ben is wearing Rebecca's socks these days.) Tomorrow I"ll also post a few photos of our trip to the pumpkin patch today. It was SO fun!!! See you back on my regular schedule tomorrow. :)
