I can't believe I scrapped AGAIN today!
This is very unusual for me. But since I started designing I tend to forget the fun I have actually creating layouts. So when I saw this AWESOME layout by my friend Rachael Giallongo, I knew I had to scraplift it. Here's my version: I've had "copying" on the brain today because of an issue with one of Jen's sketches being duplicated (inadvertantly I'm told) and given away for free. So I decided to do some copying of my own...the only difference is, I'm not taking away from anyone's livelihood. ;) Gotta love the view from up here on this high horse, lol. Anyway, the credits for Rachael's layout include a kit by Theresa Hernandez called Tangerine Dream. She gave it away as a prize for a scrapbooking contest and hasn't decided if she wants to sell it. Whatcha think, don't you want to buy that gorgeous kit?!? Let her know! Also, my layout credits are Jen Wilson's Grass Stains kit and my own sloppy handwriting. :) |

The big reveal!!
Yes! I can finally reveal the secret (although it's very late and I may not make any sense). Those amazing scrappers I mentioned before and I have established a new digital scrappers' challenge blog called "We Digi Dare Ya!" The weekly challenges are going to be so much fun to complete, and the prizes are to DIE for. Seriously. Please go take a look and join in the fun! We Digi Dare Ya! And lastly, please check out the kit you'll receive for free just for participating in the first week's dare! I'm happy to say I contributed to this pretty and versatile kit, along with many other of the darers. This is the layout I created using this awesome kit: |

Preparations for our big reveal are growing more and more fevered! Keep your eyes on the boards at DigiShopTalk to see the announcement with a link to find out what I've been working on with all those talented scrappers. Your curiosity will be satisfied either late tonight or early tomorrow morning (depending on if anyone's awake at the designated "reveal" time, lol). |

Shazbot
You people are making my life very difficult, you know that? I wish I'd only had three people apply for my team so I could just say, "Everybody in the pool!" But no, you had to go and make me choose. Do you know how difficult this is?!? It's torture!!! But no takebacks, I can't change my mind now. I'm currently poring through galleries and trying to make my choices. The announcement will be soon. Poor ole me. |

I'm having so much fun today!
First off, I got to go to my two favorite stores: Target and Trader Joe's. Lots of yummy goodies and a bunch of new office supplies to make myself a new planner! I'm feeling confident that I can be more productive and organized once school begins and I have a few uninterrupted hours every day to accomplish both household and business tasks. I bought a sturdy zippered binder from Target that also contains a small accordian folder and lots of pockets. I'm a sucker for pockets. I got few colored dividers for the 3 ring binder section and OF COURSE a few new gel pens. Love pens. Love office supplies of all kinds! I printed out forms from DIYplanner.com" (thanks to a tip from DST) and a few from organizedhome.com. If you've never been to OrganizedHome.com, you're going to love it. Check out the sister site, OrganizedScrapbooks.com as well! All kinds of great tips, info, and forms. I love making planners; the problem is using it! Help keep me on track, okay? Another fun thing is that Ernie, the technical ogre over at Natural Designs, turned us all on to Pandora. This is a site where you can enter the name of an artist or song you love, and it will build a "radio station" tailored to your likes. If you'll look in my left column, you'll see the two stations I've built so far, and even click on them to listen to songs that I like! Check it out!! Now it's almost time to pick up the kids from camp and see how "Variety Show" day went. They're having a great time. ETA: The little guy from American Idol last season, the one they called "Chicken Little," was the entertainment at the variety show! How cool is that! Too bad my kids have such dorky parents who never watch that show, lol. |

The call is nearing an end
I'm so excited about the response I've gotten for my creative team call! But I've not made any decisions yet, so please don't hesitate to apply if you're considering it. The last day for entries is tomorrow, then I'll be making my announcements no later than Friday (assuming people respond to my emails in a timely manner). Good luck everyone! :) |

'Nother secret, hee hee!
I know, I know, I'm a horrible tease. But this secret is SOOOO good, you're just going to be very happy when it's finally revealed. I'll tell you this: I AM involved this time, and it has nothing to do with my digital products. It's something totally different and I"m collaborating with some other amazing digital scrappers and designers to bring you something that you're just going to LOVE! I believe you're going to find out the secret on August 25, so keep checking back for the big big news!!! :) |

Finally, huh?
I finally learned how to make a blog header and change my template to three columns. I thought it was going to be so hard, but once I found the right resources it really wasn't all that bad. Hope you like my little cuties in the header up there! :) EDIT: For Laura and anyone else who wants to know, I got the info from a thread at DST which referenced THIS thread at RAKScraps which in turn contains a link to a VERY helpful video tutorial. Check it out! |
